1958 Porsche 356A Coupe

This left-hand drive, 1600S engine example is outstanding in every respect, complete with the Porsche Certificate of Conformity which confirms that the car retains its original colour of Fjord Green, turn-key ready with an extensive fully documented restoration completed by marque experts

Chassis 103617 build date May 6th 1958. It was originally delivered to the USA, before being acquired by a British collector in the early 2000s from Georgia, USA. Where it was taken to leading 356 specialist Roger Bray in 2008 who started a full restoration for the owner. During the restoration the owner ran into some money problems and the car was sold onto a well-known 356 collector, Phil Sewell. The car was fitted with the following; towel rail bumpers, period radio, aerial, correct speakers, grills, adjustable spax shocks, Porsche 4.5J steel wheels with half-moon hub caps, matching coco mats and the car was converted to dual circuit braking. 

During the restoration, whilst both the original engine and gearbox were being rebuilt, the decision was made to replace the original engine with the more powerful 1600S with 75HP. Since the rebuild the car has covered just 1,226kms.

Phil Sewell kept the car as part of his collection in his heated dehumidified garage until our client purchased the car from him in 2019. Since then the car has been used rarely and stored within a collection. The car has been regularly serviced and maintained regardless of cost.

Beautifully restored throughout the car is complete with its very large restoration files, history folder, spare wheel and tool roll.
