​Chassis 221102 was supplied new to California with the following factory options; headrests, updated koni shock absorbers, and a rear baggage rack. Having remained in the warm climate of California, the car caught the interest of Maxted-Page leading Porsche specialists here in the UK in 2010 and they subsequently acquired the car and started a full bare metal restoration in collaboration with Vintage Cars Boutique in Portugal.

​Maxted-Page then offered the car for sale later in 2010, following the restoration, and sold it to a very well-known collector in the UK whom our client then purchased the car from in 2016.

​The milometer reads just over 4,000kms. The current owner is the only person to drive the car up to this mileage following the Maxted Page restoration. Further, the most recent 100kms of this total have been added to the car following a full engine rebuild by the leading 356 specialist Roger Bray which the current owner commissioned to ensure the engine was to the highest standard prior to sale. The car remains matching numbers and the vital elements were retained by Roger and refurbished as he required. The sum total of the engine refurbishment came to just under £12,000, no expense was spared. The new owner will benefit from what is effectively a new engine from one of the worlds most renowned Porsche 356 specialists.
